When in doubt, blog it out!

Let the blogging begin! I have never, ever, EVER considered starting a blog. My life is way too common and my days are incredibly mundane, why would I waste time writing a blog that no one will read? Well, despite my fears of being judged and critiqued on how I write, here I am. Let me warn you, I am not a writer. I rarely create anything trend-worthy. My sense of style is average. And the chances of anyone following my blog long term are slim to none. BUT (always look for the but) I am passionate about life and love and Jesus. Worst case scenario, this blog serves as an electronic diary and the only person that reads it is me. I would be very grateful to have documentation of my life's highs and lows and have the ability to share them with whomever I choose. If you ask me, that worst case scenario could be worse. And on the flip side, best case scenario is that my blog speaks to one (or more) person. Whether it's a [successful or failed] recipe, housekeeping tip, child-raising technique or something I have learned from God's word, I am certain my "mundane" life has meaning. This blog is my effort to share it with someone!

Finally, if this is the one and only post of mine that you read, please leave with this thought: what are you living for? Everyone has a sense in their heart that life has a meaning. What do you feel is the meaning of life? I would love for you to share it with me. And, although you may not be asking, I would like you to know this about myself. I am living for an Almighty God, whom I believe sent His son to die on the cross for me. In doing so, He has paid the debt of my sin and saved me from eternity apart from God. Now I am [trying to] live my life in light of that eternity, and with the Holy Spirit in me I am capable of living a life pleasing to God. It's unbelievably humbling to serve a perfect God.

If you have made it to this point, I'm proud of you. I look forward to seeing which way this blog goes. I know that no matter where it ends up, it will serve it's purpose.

With Hope in the Unseen,
